My Life Values

1. Be acutely aware that my life on earth is like a vapor that will vanish away in due time, and I am a heavenly citizen (James 4:13-15; 1 Peter 2:9-12).

2. Be eager and willing to work hard in everything that I do (Colossians 3:23; 1 Thessalonians 4:11).

3. Be a light and salt to others around me by keeping my Christian behavior excellent so others can glorify God (Matthew 5:13-16, 20; 1 Peter 2:12).

4. Be open to the direction of the Holy Spirit wherever that may lead, and enthusiastically approach new challenges (John 14:26; 2 Corinthians 9:2).

5. Be generous with the seeds that God has given me to sow in the lives of others (2 Corinthians 9:10-11).

6. Do nothing out of selfish ambition (2 Corinthians 5:9; James 3:14-16; 1 Thessalonians 4:11).

7. Be a genuine servant-leader (Philippians 2:3-9).

8. Be careful with all my words and actions (James 1:26).

9. Seek the counsel of others frequently and thoughtfully (Proverbs 15:22).

10. Be never satisfied with the status-quo, rather be a change-agent (Romans 15:20).

11. Seek to improve and grow those around me – above me – beneath me – in all areas of my life (1 Thessalonians 5:14).

12. Never seek my own glory, but only seek to honor and glorify God in everything that I do in my life (Romans 15:5-6).
